3 Months ago I joined up with the Orange County Railway Historical Society. It consist of a moderate size group of people from all walks of life and a wide range of ages. Our common interest of railroading history brings us together on the 1st Monday of each month for a couple hours of video's, slideshows and socializing.
It has also given me a new area to explore photographically. The last blog posted had an image from inside the Santa Ana Transportation Center where we hold our meetings. Here are a few more images from the outside of the SATC and some taken from our 5th floor meeting tower room.
While awaiting the official start of socializing I was sitting near the tracks in my car enjoying a hot coffee - though a tad to strong for me - my eyes wandered on this walkway. So when it came time to get out of the car, I stopped for this image.

In this image we are looking northwest (relative) at a group of new in vogue townhomes that are suppose to entice new people to the downtown area. Unfortunately they do not seem to be be selling all that well - afterall who wants to live downwind from a recycle yard, near a train station/bus station and interstate 5 freeway 200 yards away.

That concludes this post .. thanks for looking!
